Starting a Successful Morning Routine for Immunity

The Secrets of the Immune System

Immune cells in the body are found in the:

  • Skin
  • Lymphatic system (lymph nodes)
  • Spleen
  • Bone marrow
  • Blood stream
  • Thymus
  • Mucosal tissue

This system is credited for keeping the human body healthy and happy when functioning properly but is also vastly interconnected with other systems in the body. To avoid having days of sore throat congestion, a solid morning routine with added immune boosting herbs will keep you strong and healthy.

« The immune system is precisely that — a system, not a single entity. To function well, it requires balance and harmony. There is still much that researchers don't know about the intricacies and interconnectedness of the immune response. » - Harvard Health.

Demystifying Immune Health

A strong immune system is built and maintained by a healthy body and mind, which can be supported by high-quality immune boosting herbs. Ensuring proper functioning of all systems in the human body is critical for achieving a properly functioning immune system.

The pillars of healthy living is found in:

  • Movement
  • Nutrition and hydration
  • Regeneration (stress reduction and relaxation)
  • Sleep

Regeneration

Research is on the brink of a potentially strong association between meditation and markers of inflammation, aging, and immune function. When under stress, the adrenal glands produce too much cortisol which “can affect the function of your brain, immune system, and other organs. Chronic stress can contribute to headaches, anxiety, depression, heart disease, and even premature death.” Inflammation is also a marker of an immune response. Many immune boosting herbs are also anti-inflammatory.

Nutrition and hydration

Eat well and stay properly hydrated. A glass of water first thing in the morning will energize and wake you up. Adding in a squeeze of lemon juice or a tablespoon of chia seeds will take that morning hydration up a notch.  It’s easy to get in immune boosting herbs by adding Teramune to your water; Teramune is made from the best quality essential oils. Eat a hydrating breakfast: berries full of antioxidants, leafy greens full of fiber, or oats to nourish the nervous system. Tailor your nutrition needs to yourself: eat what makes you feel good and avoid what does not.

Movement

A 6 am fitness class, a brisk walk or a run around your neighborhood, or a few minutes of full-body stretching in the morning will do wonders (and you may only need 20 minutes to reap the health benefits according to research findings). The lymphatic system, which is a part of the immune system, does not have its own pump (like the cardiovascular system), it requires movement in order to get lymph fluid flowing - movement, like raising your arms, gets that system pumping: helping to detoxify the body.

Sleep

The body does fascinating work while asleep and has a strong regulatory influence on the immune system. “Sleep is a physiological process that shows recuperative and regulatory characteristics.” There is still research to be done on sleep, but it has shown clinical evidence on the importance of getting adequate sleep. Adding the best quality essential oils to your sleep routine by massaging a drop of Teramune mixed with a high-quality carrier oil, like avocado or jojoba oil, to the base of your neck will also encourage sinus drainage and release tension held in the neck and shoulders.

Own Your Morning

Plan out your morning by using a chart, notes placed around your home, or set alerts on your phone. Curate your own personalized morning experience - do you want an extra 5 - 20 minutes in your bed to meditate or do you want to have that moment of calm while in the shower? Do you need to set aside 15 - 20 minutes for a morning stretch or participate in a more vigorous fitness class? What feels good? Maybe this plan changes day-to-day, but the goal is to try and set up a framework for getting into a routine where you expect to do at least some form of movement every day for 10 - 90 minutes.

Routines are hard to stick with when they require extra effort to achieve them. If you create a routine that makes you feel amazing, it will be easier to stick to on a daily basis.

Having Teramune on hand makes it easy to add immune boosting herbs to your routine. Teramune is the only organic supplement made from the best quality essential oils that is safe to ingest without any gastric discomfort: making it easy to access immune boosting herbs anywhere.
